My 2 cents

My heart goes out to Smith. Really. He's just 21 yrs old. A young boy just who is just starting to live his life and building his dream. I wonder how her mother reacted upon learning that his son was sentenced to life in prison in a third world country like ours. Compare the jail system here to US.. Nung makita ko siya sa news, I was saddened. His face mas emotionless, pale and it seems like he's trying to cover up his fear by looking calm and unaffected. Yes, he "committed" a crime and we should respect the law but knowing that the file Nicole pressed against him was actually questionable, I wonder if justice was really served and who was really the victim.

Dear, ano ba kasi ginagaw niya sa Bar? Bakit siya naghahanap ng ka-date na Kano? Why was she drinking with men she hardly even know? It came straight from the horse's mouth. She went out drinking with them. She danced with them that night in the bar. At kung totoong nilasing nga siya, she should have known it before hand. Why was she with the American soldiers inside the van? What was she doing with them? So to simply put, the file charged against the American soldiers was the reaction of a scorned woman. Siguro she felt betrayed on how they treated her after the "consensual rape". On how they left her half naked along the road. So she pressed charges against them, the only way left she knows that could vindicate and redeem her. Kawawang mga Kano.

But then again, babae siya. And even if she's a "whore" or a "slut", no men has the right to treat any "whore", or a woman for that matter, scornfully. Babae din ako so I know how it feels. BUT, kasi, ano ba kasi ginagawa niya dun? Isang tanong na gustong gusto ko itanong kay Nicole.

My heart goes for Smith, really. As he is coined, "a young, innocent boy".
