CCleaner - Cleans all the crap out of your computer. Cleans temporary files of softwares, computer, fixes registry. Simple and fast, updated frequently.

VirtualDub - Edits videos (mosly avi) fast and simple. I usually use it to crop or join videos. It does so much more.

uTorrent - Simply the best bittorrent client out there. TONS of features, but uses TINY resource. Stand-alone version also available. Also has WebUI which lets you control utorrent from other computers.

VideoLAN - Best media player out there. It plays almost EVERYTHING without you having to go around downloading codecs or converting your dvds/whatsoever. It's free and open source.

Filezilla - A great FTP client. Does everything and is easy to use.

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP - I like the open command here powerToy. Also see other powerToys recommendation.
