my green thumb's back
I made a dish garden today. hoho. I got bored with internet so I went out and explored what used to be my little sanctuary - mom's garden. My mom's an agriculturist so I somehow know by heart the art of gardening. But that doesn't mean I'm an expert.
Here's a picture of it:

I don't know the names of the plants I used. But I promise to have them named as soon as my mom gets back from work at the end of this week.
There are just three kinds anyway.
The plants on the edges look the same except for their color. One's plain green and the other's white and green. haha. They're alternately arranged with one kind taking the outer side and the other taking the inner side. I got the idea of putting them that way from the plants I always see on the islands along Roxas boulevard [am i missing manila? haha]. I just added the orange [or brown?] pebbles to accentuate the "snaky" shape I wanted to see.
The centerpiece is a little cactus saved from mom's collection [all the other died]. I wanted to have something red or violet for the centerpiece but all the red and violet plants in the garden are not small enough to fit in the dish garden. So I just had the cactus instead. Besides, I would be happy seeing that last piece of the cactus collection survive and take the center of the garden.
My dish garden looks unfinished. I actually think it is unfinished. I feel like I have to fill in the empty part with more colors. I'd probably work on it first thing tomorrow morning.
I'm just so happy that I got my green thumb working again after so many months of finding the chance in Manila. haha.
So long. Good night.
