PLEASE HELP FUND MY MASTERS RESEARCH
I'm in my final year of my Master of Applied Psychology (Organizational) degree, and one of the modules require that I conduct research and write a thesis. As my degree is a Masters by coursework, not a Masters by research, my university will not fund me for travel.
My research is tentatively titled Cross-Cultural Work & Well-Being in White Collar Workers. The aim of this research is to find out if there are any cultural differences of work-life balance, and to investigate if there are any differences in the type of spillover effects of work and life. Research has been conducted in relation to work-life balance on a gender-specific or sample-specific level. Gender-specific level research focuses on working women, while sample-specific research focuses on a particular culture, industry or organization. However, so far there has been little research conducted to compare cultural differences in work-life balance, hence, the aims of this research, as stated above, will add to current research conducted in the area. I intend to compare an Australian sample to a Malaysian sample, as the former is accessible by my supervisor and the latter by me.
I will need to travel back to Malaysia to conduct research. This is the biggest obstacle I have at the moment, what with not very high funds, and my parents refuse to help as well.
If anyone can help spread the link to this entry or donate, I would greatly appreciate it!! I am happy to answer any questions at all regarding my research. Thank you!!
Thanks SO MUCH Roy for advertising this!!
Unfortunately, I am an international student, hence the Australian Government will not fund my research. I am resorting to sending my proposals to corporations in the hopes they might want the Australian sample for their own use, and getting me to collect the data means all they need to to is pay me for it.
